When you have received a compressed library (.enlx):
- Save the file in your preferred directory
- Open EndNote (via Start)
- In the Menu: go to File
- Choose 'Open library' select the library with the extension .enlx
- The library will be opened
- In your Windows Explorer you will now see a new the EndNote Library (.enl) + the .data folder
- You can remove the compressed library or keep it as a backup file
