EndNote has four main areas:
Top: tools and general functions.
Left: shows how many references are in your library and groups.
Center: shows your references and has a search bar.
Bottom: click a reference to see it and its PDF, add PDFs, or use Copy Citation to make a quick reference list.

Click items to manage your library and references.

This toolbar lets you search references, add new ones, share groups, export, search full text, and create citation reports.
Hover over icons to see more options.
Move your mouse over a column header to see Preferences, or go to Edit > Preferences > Display Fields to change, rename, or reorder fields.
The center screen shows all references or a group. Use the search bar above to find references. Move your mouse over buttons for options.
The bottom screen in EndNote is called the Reference panel. It has many useful features:
At the top, you can choose Summary or Edit mode. This shows details of the selected record and lets you change the information.
PDF: If there is a PDF attached to the reference, you can click it to open, rename, see, or add notes to the PDF.
+Attach File: You can add a PDF file manually to the reference.
Details: Shows more information about the reference.
Output style: Choose the citation style you want to use.
Copy citation: Copy one or more references to quickly make a list.
You can change the chosen style if you want.
