EndNote can be used as a search engine for importing references from databases directly. It is a quick but rude way of looking for- and importing references and can be very useful for adding known items. However, use specific literature databases for your systematic searches.
Endnote supports a lot of databases, but most of them need a license. You can use this option to search in PubMed and in Web of Science.
- Click on the right column under the option Online Search on PubMed or Web of Science Core Collection.
- Typ in you search terms and click on the Search button
- Click on Search options to save or load searches
- Select references and click on the + to add the selected results to your library
- Or, use right-click to add the references to a specific group.
